Electromagnetic disc clutches
The electromagnetic multi disc clutches, characterised by simple construction design and compact dimensions, is the ideal choice for automation of mechanical processes, for example when you need to electrically control mechanical transmissions from remote with units in motion.
Disc clutches transmit the torque using a reed block. The coil is excited by creating a magnetic circuit that crosses the reed block, formed by internal discs (connected to a fixed gear on the driving shaft) and by external discs (held by a bell connected to the driven unit).
The magnetic circuit is closed using the stop plate and compacts the reed block.
Disc undulation ensures the clutch opens when disengaged and guarantees minimum residual torque. It must operate with lubrication.
