Pneumatic tooth clutches

The tooth clutches with pneumatic control are designed to work dry and supplied with 6 bar compressed air.

The pneumatic tooth clutches are composed of:

• stationary piston
• sealing rings support cylinder
• toothed rotor
• coil springs
• drive gear with key seat
• toothed retaining ring
• air supply unit

With a compressed air supply of 6 bar, the piston and the rotor move axially coming in contact with the retaining ring; insertion should be carried out stopped. Removing the power supply pressure, the coil springs opposing the pressure reposition the piston and the rotor in the initial phase, eliminating any contact or residual torque.
